What a creative idea, Patti! This was really fun to read and made me want to reach out myself and see what comes back. Thanks for sharing the journey of friends throughout the country.
Thank you, Daria. I'm still getting photographs sent in from all over the place. The cut-off apparently wasn't received well, either, haha. I loved reconnecting with people I haven't talked to in years. Fun times, for sure. Thank you for taking time to read and comment. Will the researching you do on your own articles I don't know how you do it!!
Well, I don't know about travel, but it did give me a bird's eye of what others are seeing. I have a lot more images, but they didn't come into until it was too late.
I did not se that turtle until you pointed it out. Come to find out Sam didn't see it either, he was capturing the aloe, it's a plant many have in their yards out in Las Vegas. Too funny.
Ah, no, I did not use your image of the lavender fields. I couldn't get the image to show more than a fleeting glance of purple. But thank you for taking the time to snap the picture from a moving truck!
I love that you reached out this way. People don’t communicate like this anymore! PS I don’t understand boredom either. There are so many things to do or to think about…
Let me share this small detail with you. I had my own one-woman company I worked in my underwear on the living room floor of my condo. At one time I had 19 listings under my belt. All commercial. Guess how many sold? Three. Guess how many commissions I earned from these three that were under contract in less than two weeks of being listed? Zero!! Three shyster sellers, one shyster buyer. I ended up collecting what was owed when the contract was broken. Two years of work. $30,000 in commission. I didn't mention the attorney fees to get the paltry sum for three years of grueling work. I have nightmares from my real estate days, haha, now I'm spending the rest of the tonight trying to forget them again!!
At least you can say your ‘failure’ wasn’t from lack of trying! Damn. Sorry that’s how it ended for you… life sucks sometimes but fortunately you’ve moved on!
I have a good friend and a husband who have brains like yours. Mine is different. I do not multi task and I am quite happy to be still and just look around and soak in what I see. My observation about birds is that doves truly are birds of peace. They will kindly let the little birds eat along side of them. Jays not so much! What you wrote was fun to read.
Thanks, Julie! Yes, my brain goes all the time. While I was sitting, waiting for the birds to come in, it made me realize that I need to take time to sit and do nothing. After doing so for 10 minutes or so, I find my productivity is much more efficient.
I love doves, you're right, they are gentle, kind creatures. The Jays are bullies. They have their own community issues like we do.
I loved this, Patti! It made me go look out my back door this morning. Saw my beautiful weeping cherry tree beginning to bloom and felt blessed. Thank you! Did you ever hear of Kickstart? It’s a fundraiser. I invested in a project during Covid. A woman asked us to help her publish a book called A View From My Window. The times were ripe & 1000s of people all over the world sent her pictures. (She used FB too. It spread like wild fire since everyone was locked inside.) Then we got a book and tote at the end. Hope something really exciting happens for you today! ❤️ This was a great read.
Yes, I know about Kickstart! That would have been an amazing way to spend lockdown. This project was frustrating at first. But then, the pictures started pouring in. I could actually do follow-up article. The best part was reconnecting with everyone. I got a couple snarky responses, and (another) odd comment about moving to Dubai, which made it all the more fun!
Since I write that article a few days ago, now I'm going out and checking what I see out both back and front doors. Thanks for sharing! XX

Such fun getting different responses and pictures.
Lets you travel without going somewhere.
Great article

Great article my Love.
Thanks honey.
Check out that turtle 🐢 hiding in the Las Vegas, behind the flowers. You didn't use my pic.

😂 I believe there are 2 types of people in this world: those that can pull of being a realtor and those that flounder in the field

Haha, oh it didn't end there. I tortured myself for a few more years into bankruptcy, then I gave it up.🤣
Haha, Shlee, I think you and I are alike in many ways. Starting with shiny object syndrome. :)
Yes, I think you’re right about that Patti 😆
Haha, not to mention i got into real estate, something new I learned about you… one of my failed miserably attempts at leaving casino gaming forever.
